This is Mukthi, Mukthishena71, somebody called me Mokter, some one mothul, but in 1971 I have changed my name when I have joined the Liberation war as a freedom fighter. The freedom fighter of Bangladesh liberation war called Mukthi bahini / Mukthifouze / Mukthishena, just I have found the new name so no one can call me others name which is not perfect and didn’t like. I became Mukthi, Moktel Hossain Mukthi. I’m from South Akal Barish Village, Banshgadi Union under Kalkini UpaZila of Madaripur district. In the year of 1953 I came to this beautiful world while violent storm was shivering mother earth. In the month of April on the 13th which happened to be a Tuesday, I cried for the first time on my mothers’ lap and all my relatives rejoiced. It was an occasion of double happiness because my birth brought the long happy New Year along with it. Basically I have sung Tagore songs in the media. Sometimes composing the music and lyricist I couldn’t anything in my life. Neither had I done anything for the people nor for my family due to my abnormality in 1975 august. Whereas, I got so many opportunity/ chances in my life that I couldn’t proper used for the people whom I loved so much. I loved father of nation Bangabandhu we couldn’t safe him & his family in 1975 being a freedom fighter that was one kind of burning fire on my heartiest c
I have cried a lot on the streets in 1975 for Bangabandhu even I was on the streets until midnight as a mad (I was in then PG Hospital under treatment of Dr. Hazera Mahtab (daughter of Late Dr. Ibrahim & wife of Dr. Fashiuddin Mahtab ) three months. the Ministry of Land allowed my job without pay of there months salary due to my abnormality.
After liberation father of nation Bangabandhu & first Prime Minister of Bangladesh Late tajuddin Ahmed had given me a job in the ministry of land in 1972. I have worked with 11 Ministers & 9 full secretary including Abu Taher (Bangabandhu was selected him for Governor of Dhaka Division) M. Mokammel Huq, M. Keramat ALi, Golam Mostofa, jamsher Uddin Dr. Kamal Uddin Siddiqui, Md, Shahidul Alam and other so many.
It is my great pleasure that I have worked with late abdur rob serniabat, Mollah Jalal, Sri Fonibhushon Majumdar, demoted Minister Mohamed Ullah (few days President of Bangladesh)
I have beaten the police officer at Tejgaon Rail line in 1976 in absence of mind than finally central jail. The police beaten me whole night’s even put hot water to my face. Do you know why I have beaten that police officer? Yes, which I want to tell you that police sub inspector used slang and foul language to father of nation Shahid Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib, sheikh kamal, sheikh jamal and sheikh fazlul haque moni at that midnight while I was coming from FDC Studio. After 14 days my elder brother took out me from the custody and finally PG Hospital for mental treatment. Dr. said its not mental case, just keep him as he as wants to do.
Second thing: I was in Japan in 1992. On e day I have participated 21 February program which was arranged by Bangladesh Embassy of Tokyo, Japan. The program will be inaugurated by the Deputy High Commissioner Bangabandhu murderer Lt. Col. Rashed Choudhury instead of the High Commissioner. The ex student leader Md. Kofiluddin, Akbor, Prince, mezbah, Apu sarwar will not allow Rashed Choudhury to touch the national and black mourn flags. They made rally to protect him from the inauguration program and I was one of them to protest & postpone entire program and if killer Rashed Choudhury inaugurate the program we will not perform at the same program. High Commission called police nearby 5 hundreds of police surround us. Police commissioner came and spokes all of us, than he realized the real situation. That was an ideals decision by all of us. The empty ground of Bengali nation will never be fulfilling without Shahid Bangabandhu & Late 4 National Leaders. I am writing the song of remembrances those heroes given the independence of Bengali nation & singing on occasionally. It is my great pleasure that I was closed to them all in 1972-1975 august 15.
More interesting some of story I’d like to tell you. Later on I was PS to Md. Noor Ali, Chairmen & Managing Director, Unique Group (1997-2001). Noor Ali was nominated by Awami League in 2001 for Nawabganj constituency. Late Agricultural Economist Shankar Goswami, President Bangladesh Student League (former APS to HPM AFM Bahauddin Nasim was the Secretary General of NASIM GOSWAMI COUNCIL) was political secretary. Shankar and I lead the entire election campaign at Nawabganj in 2001. I have written 10 songs for that election and published an album in favor of BOATS & NOOR ALI. You know 2001 National Assembly Election was engineering by the army and CIA PISI so Awami league failure to get the power.
Thereafter, it was very sad heart paining story. Some of miscreants suddenly had attacked to Unique Group to heats NOOR ALI but he was in out only they found some of staffs and me. They hits me, kicks me as the human people some times beating the animals. They took my hair from my foreheads’. I apologized for my campaign, album & supporting Awami league. I said forgive me, I beg pardon as a freedom fighter to them. Leave me the country, I will never come and never sing any songs of Bangabandhu & Awami league.

বঙ্গবন্ধুর অকাল প্রয়াণে ৩০ লক্ষ বাঙ্গালীর তাজা রক্ত আর লক্ষ লক্ষ মা-বোনের মহা সম্পদ সম্ভ্রম ইজ্জতের মুল্যে কেনা মহান স্বাধীনতা হুমকির সম্মুখীন হয়েছিলো। আল্লাহর অশেষ মেহেরবানী বঙ্গবন্ধুকণ্যা জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনা তাঁর মেধা এবং চোউকশ বুদ্ধিমত্তা তথা মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনায়শিক্ত বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের বলিষ্ঠ ভূমিকা এবং স্বাধীনতাপ্রিয় কোটি কোটি মানুষের ত্যাগ তিতিক্ষা, দেশমাতৃকার টানে উদ্গত অগাধ ভালোবাসা, সর্বপরি জাতীয় ঔক্য সকল বাঁধা বিপত্তিকে কাটিয়ে বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতির ইতিহাসে সর্বকালের সকল রেকর্ড ভঙ্গ করে বিপুল ভোটে বিজয়ের মাধ্যমে দিতীয়বার মন্ত্রীপরিষদ গঠণ করেছেন ।
জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনা তাঁর নিবাচনী ইশ্তেহারে স্বাধীনতা বিরোধীদের যথাযথ বিচার প্রতিষ্ঠার ক্ষেত্রে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ এবং ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ গড়ার প্রতিশ্রতি প্রদান করেছিলেন । আমরা এখনো আশাবাদী এবং ইনশাল্লাহ তিনি সফল হবেনই।
গোটা জাতি এখনো রাজাকার আল বদর এবং আল শামসদের বিচারের আশায় মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দিকে বুকভরা আশা নিয়ে তাকিয়ে আছে। দ্রব্যমুল্যস্ফীতির কথা বাদ দিলেও রাজাকারের বিচারের বিষয়টি কোনোভাবেই বাদ দেয়া যায়না। গ্যাস বিদ্যুৎ পানিসহ জাতীয় উন্নয়ন সরকারের আগামী অদূর ভবিষ্যতে পুনঃরায় ক্ষমতায়নের ক্ষেত্রে সহায়ক ভূমিকা পালন করতে পারে। কিন্তু রাজাকারের যথযথ শাস্তিরবিধান একমাত্র আওয়ামী লীগই করতে পারে। চাই ক্ষমতায় দ্বিতীয়বার আসুক আর নাই আসুক। এবং এই বিচার যদি কোনো কারনে বিলম্বিত বা নস্যাৎ হয় তাহলে আমরা ৩০ লক্ষ সহিদের রক্তের সাথে বেঈমানী করার সামিল হবো।
জাতিরজনক বঙ্গবন্ধু হত্যামামলা ১৯৯৬ -২০০১ সময়ের মধ্যেই শেষ করা যেতো। কিন্তু সেখানে বিশেষ বুদ্ধিজীবীদের গদ গদ উপদেশ মাননীয়া প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে আগামী দিনের ইস্যু হাতে রাখার কবজ বা তাবীয হিসাবে কাজ করবে বলে উৎসাহিত করা হয় এবং মাননীয়নেত্রী বাধ্য হন “বঙ্গবন্ধু হত্যামামলা ধীরস্থীর গতিতে চলার নীতি” গ্রহণ করতে।
আমি এ লেখাটি লিখতাম না, জানি, যদিও আমার কোনো কোনো ভাই একটু রাগ করবেন। সম্প্রতি আমার কাছে ক্যানাডা থেকে আমার এক “মা” অথবা যদি বলি আমার এক “বোন” আমার কাছে এক হ্রদয় বিদারক ম্যাছেজ পাঠিয়ে জানতে চেয়েছে তাঁর জন্মগত পরিচয় কী? ?????????ঐ ম্যাছেজটি আমার http://warcriminalsinbangladesh.wordpress.com ৩৯ বছরের “বাংলাদেশ” নামের কন্যা সন্তান আজ বড় হয়ে তাঁর পিতৃ পরিচয় জানতে চাইছে। আমাকে জিজ্ঞেস করছে, তুমি মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ৭১ এ যুদ্ধ করেছো? তাহলেতো তুমিই বলতে পারো আমার বাবা কে? আমার মা কোথায় এখন? আমি জে মাদার তেরেসার আশ্রমে জনমে ছিলাম, সেটি কোথায়? এবং শেষের প্রশ্ন “ আমি ক্যানাডায় কেন? আমি মূখ্র মোউড় কোনো জবাব দিতে পারিনি, শুধু ফেসবুকে সাবেক মন্ত্রী রাজ্জাকভাই, গোপালগঞ্জের মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সহিদুল আলম ভাই এবং মায়াভাইকে লিখলাম “ ভাই আমরা কি এদের খুঁজে বের করতে পারি? রাগে ক্ষোভে এবং প্রচন্ড ক্ষীপ্রতার সাথে লিখলাম, তাহলে ঐ নরঘাতক নরপিশাচ শুয়োর গোলাম আযম, নিজামী, সাঈদী আর সাকা চোউধুরীকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন?বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের নিঃস্বার্থ নেতা কর্মী ভক্ত এবং জাতিরজনক বঙ্গবন্ধুর আদর্শে বিশ্বাসী দেশ প্রেমিক বন্ধুদের একটি একান্ত অনুরোধ “আপনারা দেশ ও জাতির জন্য অনেক কিছু করার ইচ্ছা থাকা সত্বেও অনেক সময় অনেক কাজই সমাধান করতে পারেন না অথবা অনেক সময়ই দলের পক্ষ থেকে কোন প্রকার সাহায্য সহযোগিতা না পেয়েও দলের জন্য অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম করছেন। আপনারা জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু ও মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনায় উদ্বুদ্ধ হয়ে দেশে এবং দেশের বাইরে থেকে যারা আওয়ামী লীগ তথা জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার সরকারের উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডকে উৎসাহিত করার জন্যে ক্ষমতা ও স্বার্থের উরদ্ধে থেকে সেচ্ছায় দলের জন্য কাজ করছেন । জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনা এবং বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগ আপনাদের এই স্বেচ্ছায় সেবা প্রদানের জন্য আন্তরিকভাবেই কৃতজ্ঞ। পাশাপাশি আমাদের মনে রাখতে হবে” জামাত শিবির বি এন পি ও যুবদলের কুচক্রি ঘাতক দালালের উত্তরসূরি মহান স্বাধীনতা ও সার্বভৌমত্বকে পাকিস্তানের প্রভুর হাতে সপে দিয়ে বাংলাদেশকে পুনরায় পাকিস্তানের একটি অংগ রাজ্য হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠার গভীর চক্রান্তে লিপ্ত। এরা সীমাহীন দুর্নীতি ও দেশের জনগণের সম্পদ লুটপাটের মাধ্যমে বিশ্বের সেরা ধনিকের সারিতে দাড়াতে সক্ষম হয়েছে। এই স্বাধীনতা বিরোধী চক্র ইন্টারনেট জগতের এমন কোন শাখা প্রশাখা নেই, যেখানে ওদের কোন ডোমাইন ইউ আর এল নেই। এরা হ্যাকার । অনায়াসে আপনার আই ডি এবং পাসওয়ার্ড চুরি করতে পারে। এদের সাথে বন্ধুত্বের আগে যাচাই করে নিন, তাকে আপনি চিনেন কিনা? বা তিনি আদৌ স্বাধীনতার স্বপক্ষ শক্তির সদস্য বা সমর্থক কিনা? এরা আওয়ামী লীগের সকল নেটওয়ার্ক গুলোতে ঢুকে পাকিস্তান, জিয়াউর রহমান, তারেক জিয়া, গোলাম আযম, নিজামী, সাঈদী, সাকাদের মুক্তির দাবী তুলছে এবং প্রচার করছে ইসলামিক রিপাবলিক অফ বাংলাদেশ গড়ার দৃঢ় প্রত্যয়। কাজেই এদের রুখতে হলে সাবধানে কাজ করতে হবে।

পঁচিশে মার্চের ভয়াল সেই রাত আজ। শহীদদের শ্রদ্ধাজানাতে শুধু মোমবাতি প্রজ্জ্বলন নয়, আসুন আমরা সবাই একযোগে দাবী জানাই এ দিনটিকে বিশ্ব গণহত্যা দিবস হিসেবে ঘোষণা করার। ‘ঘাতক দালাল নির্মূল কমিটি’র এই উদ্যোগে সাড়া দিয়ে আমরা চোখে আঙুল তুলে পাকিস্তানী বর্বরতার প্রমাণ দেখাতে পারি গোটা বিশ্বকে এবং বিচারের দাবীতে সোচ্চার আন্দোলন গড়ে তুলতে পারি। -naznin seamon, co ordinator, ghatok dalal nirmul committee, NY, USA

Shankar and I lead the entire election campaign at Nawabganj in 2001. I have written 10 songs for that election and published an album in favor of BOATS & NOOR ALI. You know 2001 National Assembly Election was engineering by the army and CIA PISI so Awami league failure to get the power.
Thereafter, it was very sad heart paining story. Some of miscreants suddenly had attacked to Unique Group to heats NOOR ALI but he was in out only they found some of staffs and me. They hits me, kicks me as the human people some times beating the animals. They took my hair from my foreheads’. I apologized for my campaign, album & supporting Awami league. I said forgive me, I beg pardon as a freedom fighter to them. Leave me the country, I will never come and never sing any songs of Bangabandhu & Awami league. Everything i have reported to present Finance Minister and other but no response properly and those miscreants had hurt me still their in Gulshan Banani area. Being a freedom fighter I want justice. I want a major punishment of OC Nassir who was in Gulshan PS in 2002. Still I don’t know is he in job or not?

সাংগঠনিক স্থবিরতা ও দুর্বল প্রচারণা আওয়ামী লীগের বিপর্যয় আনতে পারে
প্রতিটি নির্বাচনের পরে সকল পত্রিকা-মিডিয়ায় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ লেখক-আলোচকরা জয়ের কারণ বিশেষত কোন দলের পরাজয়ের কারণ নিয়ে ব্যাপক বিশ্লেষণ প্রকাশ করেন। যেমন ৯১ সালে নিজে বার বার পরাজিত হয়েও আওয়ামী লীগের পরাজয়ের কারণ নিয়ে ডঃ কামাল হোসেনের বিশ্লেষণের কথা বলা যায়। কিন্তু নির্বাচনের আগে কেন তারা এ ভবিষ্যৎ-বাণীগুলো করেন না সেটা ভাবি। মাঝে মাঝে মনে হয় পত্রিকাগুলো বোধহয় দুই দলেরই জয়-পরাজয়ের কারণগুলো ড্রাফট করে রাখে, যেটা প্রযোজ্য প্রকাশ করে।
ব্যাপক সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠতা সাফল্য নিশ্চিত করেনা:
২০০৮ সালে আওয়ামী লীগ ব্যাপক সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠতা নিয়ে জয় লাভ করে। বঙ্গবন্ধুর ইমেজ যেমন ব্যাপক সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠতা অর্জনে ভূমিকা রেখেছিল, ২০০৮ এর নির্বাচনেও প্রকৃতপক্ষে শেখ হাসিনার ইমেজই সেই নির্বাচনী ফলাফলের পুনরাবৃত্তি ঘটায়। তবে এতে আওয়ামী লীগের লাভের চেয়ে ক্ষতিই বেশী হয়েছে বলে আমার ধারণা কারণ জনগণ ভোট তো দিয়েছিল শেখ হাসিনার ব্যক্তিত্বের প্রভাবে বাস্তবে নির্বাচিত নেতা হিসাবে পেয়েছে যদু-মধু-কদুকে। আর ব্যক্তির নেতৃত্বের ব্যর্থতা সবসময়ই দলকে ভোগ করতে হয়। তুলনামূলক-ভাবে সরকার পরিচালনা ও দলীয় অবস্থান বিবেচনা করলে ৯৬ এর আওয়ামী লীগ কম সংখ্যক আসনে জয়ী হলেও তাদের সাফল্যের পাল্লা অনেক ভারী ছিল এবং সেই বিবেচনায় ২০০১ এর ফলাফল ছিল অপ্রত্যাশিত।
একটি কঠিন সময় অতিবাহিত করে ২০০৮ এ যে সাফল্যের সাথে এবং যুগোপযোগী শ্লোগান নিয়ে সরকার গঠিত হয় সেখানে প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপ সুচিন্তিত, কৌশলী এবং দূরদৃষ্টিসম্পন্ন হবে এ প্রত্যাশাই স্বাভাবিক। আর সরকারের মূলভিত্তি যেহেতু দল সুতরাং দীর্ঘ সময় রাজনৈতিক কর্মকাণ্ড থেকে পৃথক থাকা দলকে ঢেলে সাজিয়ে যোগ্য নেতৃত্বকে দল শক্তিশালী ও সংগঠিত করার দায়িত্ব দেয়া হবে এটাই আকাঙ্ক্ষিত ছিল।
আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের তিন বছর:
তৃতীয় বিশ্বের উন্নয়নশীল দেশ হিসাবে চিরাচরিত সীমাবদ্ধতা, বিশ্বব্যাপী অর্থনৈতিক মন্দা, বিশ্ববাজারে দ্রব্যমূল্য ও কৃষিজাত পণ্যের বৃদ্ধি ও খাদ্য সংকট, বিরোধীদের ষড়যন্ত্র এসব সংকট সত্ত্বেও সরকার অসফল এটা বলার কোন সুযোগ নেই। বিডিআর বিদ্রোহ সহ ড্যাপ, শেয়ার বাজারে ধ্বস, আড়িয়াল খাঁ বিলের মতো ষড়যন্ত্র মোকাবেলা করে সরকার রাজনৈতিক স্থিতিশীলতা যেভাবে বজায়ে রেখেছে তা অভাবনীয়। সরকারের সাফল্য হিসাবে দাবী করার মতো অনেক পদক্ষেপ রয়েছে:-
• বিদ্যুৎ সমস্যা সমাধানে পাওয়ার প্ল্যান্ট স্থাপনসহ ২০১৪ সালের মধ্যে লোডশেডিং মুক্ত করার কার্যকর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ,
• কৃষি খাতে প্রয়োজনীয় সহায়তা দান,
• পরিবেশ রক্ষায় ড্যাপ এর মতো পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ ও ঢাকার পরিসর বৃদ্ধিকরণ,
• বিশ্ব-মন্দা ও দ্রব্যমূল্য বৃদ্ধি সত্ত্বেও সরকারীভাবে আমদানি ও পর্যবেক্ষণ,
• জনগণের বহুল প্রত্যাশিত যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের বিচার শুরু ও এ মেয়াদে বিচার সম্পন্নে ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ,
• গণতান্ত্রিক মনোভাব পোষণই নয় দলীয় সরকারের অধীনে নিরপেক্ষভাবে স্থানীয় পর্যায়ে উপজেলা, সিটি কর্পোরেশন ও পৌরসভা নির্বাচন,
• আইন শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর আধুনিকায়ন, প্রতি থানায় দুজন ওসি নিয়োগ,
• গণমাধ্যমের স্বাধীনতা নিশ্চিতকরণ, শিক্ষা ও স্বাস্থ্যখাতে উন্নয়ন,
• সরকার-বিরোধী কার্যকলাপের অভিযোগ সত্ত্বেও এ সরকারের আমলে একজন সরকারী কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীও চাকরীচ্যুত হয়নি,
• যানজট নিরসনে পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ, ফ্লাইওভার, রিংরোড, ওয়াটার-বাস, আন্তর্জাতিক মানের বিমান বন্দর, এশিয়ান হাইওয়ের কার্যক্রমসহ যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থায় ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ,
• কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টির লক্ষে উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ,
• চীন, ভারত, মধ্যপ্রাচ্য, রাশিয়া, যুক্তরাষ্ট্রসহ বিভিন্ন দেশের সাথে কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্কের বিশেষভাবে উন্নয়ন হয়েছে,
• সর্বোপরি যে ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ শ্লোগান নির্বাচনী প্রতিশ্রুতি ছিল তা বাস্তবায়নে সাবমেরিন ক্যাবল, ই-টেন্ডার, স্কুল-কলেজ-বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সহ পাবলিক পরীক্ষাসমূহ ইন্টারনেটের অন্তর্ভুক্তি-করণ, সকল মন্ত্রণালয়, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিভাগ এমনকি প্রতিটি জেলাও ই-গভর্নেন্সের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে।
দলীয় ব্যর্থতা সরকারের সাফল্য ম্লান করে দেয়:
সরকারের যতই সাফল্য থাক দল যদি তৃণমূল পর্যায় পর্যন্ত শক্তিশালী ও সুসংগঠিত না থাকে তবে কখনওই জয়লাভ করা সম্ভব নয়।
ব্যাপক সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠতা সবচেয়ে বেশী সৃষ্টি করেছে দলীয় তথা আভ্যন্তরীণ কোন্দল।
দলীয় তেমন কোন কর্মকাণ্ড না থাকলেও এ কোন্দলের কারণ ক্ষমতা বা অর্থ-সংশ্লিষ্ট আধিপত্য বিস্তার।
সরকারী দল হিসাবে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই অনেক মৌসুমি নেতার অনুপ্রবেশ ঘটেছে। এমনকি বিএনপিই নয় শিবির নেতাদেরও অনুপ্রবেশ ঘটেছে বলে অভিযোগ আছে। কিন্তু প্রকৃত ও পরীক্ষিত নেতা-কর্মীরা বঞ্চিত হলে দলের জন্য তা বুমেরাং হয়।
টেন্ডার-বাজী করা, ভূমি-দস্যুদের হাতিয়ার হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হওয়া, ব্যক্তিগত কোন্দলে দলীয় ক্ষমতার ব্যবহারের অভিযোগ রয়েছে।
প্রভাব বিস্তারকে কেন্দ্র করে সংঘর্ষ ও স্থানীয় এমপি বা নেতাদের মধ্যে চরম কোন্দল দলকে স্থবির করে রেখেছে।
বিগত বিএনপি সরকারের আমলে অনেকে এলাকা-ছাড়াও হয়েছে। তাদের অনেকেই নিজের একটি চাকরীর সুপারিশ চেয়ে ঘুরে বেড়ায়। আবার আওয়ামী নেতার সুপারিশে ছাত্রদল নেতার চাকরী হয়েছে এমন অভিযোগও আছে।
এবারের স্থানীয় নির্বাচনে অনেক নেতাই কেউ কোন্দলের কারণে কেউ টাকার লোভে দলীয় প্রার্থীর পক্ষে কাজ করেনি আবার অনেকে প্রকাশ্যেই বিরোধিতা করেছে।
দল বা অঙ্গসংগঠনগুলোর সবগুলোতেই কমবেশি থাকলেও এক্ষেত্রে চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়েছে ছাত্রলীগ। আগে আমরা ছাত্রলীগ করি এটা বলতে গর্ববোধ করতাম; এখন ছাত্রলীগ করতাম এটা বলতে দ্বিধান্বিত হতে হয়। ২০০৬ দুই বছরের জন্য ছাত্রলীগের সালে যে কমিটি হয় বয়সের শর্ত দিয়ে সিনিয়র অনেক অপেক্ষমাণ নেতাকে বিদায় নিতে হয়। বিদায়ী কমিটির সভাপতি নিজের আয়ত্তে রাখার জন্য জুনিয়র নেতাদের দিয়ে কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটি করাতে সক্ষম হয়। একবারও ভাবা হয়নি ছাত্রদলের নেতারা নবগঠিত কমিটির নেতাদের পিতৃতুল্য। এমনকি জেলা, থানা বা ওয়ার্ড কমিটির নেতারাও তাদের এতদিন জুনিয়র ভাই হিসাবে বিবেচনা করে এসেছে। তবে এটা ঠিক ২০১১ সালেরে প্রেক্ষাপটে বর্তমান কমিটির পরিপক্বতা এসেছে।
আওয়ামী লীগের কোন অঙ্গসংগঠনের কাউন্সিল হচ্ছেনা। কাউন্সিল ছাড়া সংগঠন যেমন প্রাণবন্ত হয়না তেমনি তৃণমূল পর্যন্ত সংগঠন কি করে দলের বার্তা পৌঁছে দিবে সেটাও প্রশ্ন থেকে যায়।
হাইব্রিড ও প্রবীণ নেতারা:
হাইব্রিড আওয়ামী লীগ কথাটা এ দলেরই প্রচলন করা। কিন্তু একটি উদারতা আমাদের প্রবীণ নেতাদের দেখানো উচিত আর তা হল নতুন নেতৃত্ব এসেছে ঠিকই কিন্তু তাদের কারও শিকড়/রুট নিয়ে কিন্তু কোন প্রশ্ন নেই। তাদের পূর্ব ইতিহাস আওয়ামী লীগ কেন্দ্রিক। আবার প্রবীণ নেতাদের রাজনৈতিক অভিজ্ঞতা অতুলনীয়। তারা মাঠের ও ভোটের রাজনীতি সম্পর্কে যতটা বুঝে সেটা কোনভাবেই অস্বীকার করা যাবেনা। এই বিভক্তি-রেখা না টেনে বঙ্গবন্ধুর আদর্শ বাস্তবায়নে প্রতিচ্ছবি শেখ হাসিনা এই সীমান্তে ঐক্য প্রয়োজন।
দুর্বল প্রচারণা:
আওয়ামী লীগ বরাবরই প্রচারণায় দুর্বল। কিন্তু গণমাধ্যমের স্বাধীনতায় বিশ্বাস করে। মিডিয়াগুলো স্বাতন্ত্র্য বজায় রাখতে সরকারের সাফল্য দলীয়ভাবে কখনও তুলে ধরতে পারেনা বা পারবে না। এটা অস্বাভাবিকও নয়। মূলত প্রচার মাধ্যমগুলোতে আমরা দুঃসংবাদই খুঁজে পাই। সুতরাং দলের সাফল্য দলকেই তুলে ধরতে হবে। দলকেই বোঝাতে হবে অন্যদলের সাথে তুলনামূলক পার্থক্য। আমাদের দেশের বেশীরভাগ মানুষই সরকারের সাফল্য সম্পর্কে ওয়াকিবহাল নয়, নিজ উদ্যোগে জানাও তাদের সম্ভব নয়।
বিরোধী দল বিএনপি-জামাত জোরালো-ভাবে মাঠে-ঘাটে, সাধারণের বেশে, ইন্টারনেটে অপপ্রচার ও সরকার বিরোধী প্রচারণা চালিয়েই যাচ্ছে। তাদের কর্মকাণ্ডে সুস্পষ্টই প্রতীয়মান তারা সংঘবদ্ধভাবে এবং পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী প্রচার বা অপপ্রচার কার্যক্রম চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। তাদের কার্যক্রমের লিস্ট করা হলে হোঁচট খেতে হবে। মাঠ-পর্যায় ছাড়াও ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশের কড়ায়-গণ্ডায় সুযোগ সুবিধা ভোগ করে ইন্টারনেট জুড়ে তাদের অপপ্রচার চলছে। আমাদের কতজন নেতা আছে যারা যৌক্তিকভাবে এর প্রতি-উত্তর দিয়ে যেতে পারবে? হাতেগোনা কয়েকজন এ প্রচারণায় ভূমিকা রাখছে, তাও বিচ্ছিন্নভাবে। আমারা অদূর ভবিষ্যতে কি আর গাফফার চৌধুরী বা এম.আর.আখতার মুকুলদের মতো মনীষী পাবো যারা আমাদের ছায়া হয়ে শীতলতা দিবেন! পথ প্রদর্শন করবেন!
সবকিছু কি প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে দেখতে হবে?
এ তিন বছরে সরকারের অন্যতম বৈশিষ্ট্য দেখা গেছে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দৃষ্টিগোচর হবার আগে কারও যেন কোন কিছু করার বা বলার নেই। জননেত্রী দৈনিক ১৭/১৮ ঘণ্টা কাজ করেন। কোথাও ছাত্রলীগের আভ্যন্তরীণ সংঘর্ষ হলেও সেটা তাঁকে দেখতে হবে এটা অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত।
আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের মেয়াদ আর মাত্র দুই বছর। সকল অঙ্গসংগঠনের যোগ্য নেতৃত্ব নির্বাচন প্রয়োজন। দলীয়/সাংগঠনিক দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত নেতারা সরকারী কোন পদে না থাকাটাই দলের জন্য মঙ্গলজনক হবে। এখনও যদি দ্রুত আওয়ামী লীগ সহ অঙ্গসংগঠনগুলো কার্যকর করা না যায়, মাঠ পর্যায়ের নেতা-কর্মীদের মাধ্যমে জনগণের মাঝে সরকারের সাফল্য তুলে ধরা না যায়, তবে আওয়ামী লীগকেই মূল্য দিতে হবে। মনে রাখা প্রয়োজন আওয়ামী লীগ যেটা প্রচারণা হিসাবে বিবেচনা করবে সেই একই কাজ তথা প্রচার/অপপ্রচার বিএনপি-জামাত করবে মরণ-কামড় দিয়ে।

Bangabandhu : A Name that Goes with Eternity

Embracing Bangabandhu at the Algiers Non-Aligned Summit in 1973, Cuba’s Fidel Castro remarked, “I have not seen the Himalayas. But I have seen Sheikh Mujib. In personality and in courage, this man is the Himalayas. I have thus had the experience of witnessing the Himalayas.”
This Sheikh Mujib is not just a mere individual or a name. He in an institution. A movement. A revolution. An upsurge. A tidal boar. A Lenin, a Mao, a Netaji, a Gandhi, a Fidel, a Kemal… He is the essence of epic, poetry and history. He is the architect of a nation – the Bengali Nation. He is Bangabandhu – friend of Bengalis.
The history of Bengali Nation goes back a thousand years. That is why contemporary history has recognised him as the greatest Bengali of the thousand years. The future will call him the idol of eternal time. And he will live, in luminosity of a bright star, in annals of historical legends. He will show the path to the Bengali Nation that his dreams are the basis of the existence of any nation struggling for freedom. A remembrance of him is the culture and the society that Bengalis have sketched for themselves. His possibilities, the promises put forth by him, are the fountain-spring of the civilised existence of the Bengalis.
Bangabandhu’s political life began as a humble worker while he was still a student. He was fortunate to come in early contact with such towering personalities as Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy and AK Fazlul Huq, both charismatic Chief Ministers of undivided Bengal. Adolescent Bangabandhu grew up under the gathering gloom of stormy politics as the aging British Raj in India was falling apart and the Second World War was violently rocking the continents. He witnessed the ravages of the war and the stark realities of the great famine of 1943 in which about five million people lost their lives. The tragic plight of the people under colonial rule turned young Bangabandhu into a rebel.
This was also the time when he saw the legendary revolutionaries like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Mahatma Gandhi challenging the British Raj. Also about this time he came to know the works of Bernard Shaw, Karl Marx, Rabindranath Tagore and rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Soon after the partition of India in 1947 it was felt that the creation of Pakistan with its two wings separated by a physical distance of about 1200 miles was a geographical monstrosity. The economic, political, cultural and linguistic characters of the two wings were also different. Keeping the two wings together under the forced bonds of a single state structure in the name of religious nationalism would merely result in a rigid political control and economic exploitation of the eastern wing by the all-powerful western wing which controlled the country’s capital and its economic and military might.
Bangabandhu started his fight against the British colonial overlords and then he directed his wrath against the then Pakistani neo-colonialists. Step by step he prepared his people for their eventual destination. He was in the forefront of mass movements. From his imprisonment in 1949 he gave active support to the formation of the first mass-based opposition political party, the Awami League, under the leadership of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, which subsequently spearheaded the struggle for independence. In the 1954 provincial elections, the Bengalis overwhelmingly voted the Awami League-led United Front to power. The victory was, however, short-lived. In order to maintain their sway and dominance, the rulers in the western wing of Pakistan through coercive means, imposed military rule in 1958. Bangabandhu and other nationalist leaders put up stiff resistance against it and were detained for years together.
In 1961 Bangabandhu was released from jail after he won a writ petition in the High Court. Then he started underground political activities against the martial law regime and dictator Ayub Khan. During this period he set up an underground organisation called “Swadhin Bangia Biplobi Parishad” or Independent Bangia Revolutionary Council, comprising outstanding student leaders in order to work for achieving independent Bangladesh.
Keeping the essence of Swadhin Bangladesh, Bangabandhu placed his historic Six-Points in 1966. He called for a federal state structure for Pakistan and full autonomy for Bangladesh with a parliamentary democratic system. The Six-Points became so popular in a short while that it was turned into the Charter of Freedom for the Bengalis or their Magna Carta. The Army Junta of Pakistan threatened to use the language of weapons against the Six-Point movement and the Bangabandhu was arrested under the Defence Rules on May 8, 1966. To subdue him, Bangabandhu was charged with secession and high treason, which was known as the infamous Agartala Conspiracy Case. But mass people burst into upsurge against his arrest.
With the defeat of Ayub Khan regime in 1969 in a mass-upsurge which led to the unconditional withdrawal Agartala conspiracy case, Bangabandhu had become an undisputed, home grown hero for the Bengali nation. People’s admiration to his unfathomable courage and yearning for his guidance convinced that he was the friend of Bengal. They then start calling him Bangabandhu. The torch of politics Bengali Nation was truly and irreversibly in his hands. He would carry it ahead, undaunted in his determination to transform the destiny of his people to make Shonar Bangla.
Bangabandhu’s finest hour came on 7th March 1971. His historic speech on that day changed the course of the history of struggle for independence in the then Pakistan and gave millions of Bengalis a new sense of direction. Bangabandhu possessed the rare quality of harnessing the awesome power of the masses that overthrew the military regime standing in the way of Bangladesh’s liberation.
He declared in his speech, “The struggle now is the struggle for our emancipation; the struggle now is the struggle for our independence.” In this historic speech, Bangabandhu urged the nation to break the shackles of subjugation and declared, “Since we have given blood, we will give more blood. The people of this country will be liberated Inshallah. He called upon people to turn every house into a fortress with whatever they had to fight the enemy.
He advised the people to prepare themselves for a guerrilla war against the enemy. He asked the people to start a total non-cooperation movement against the government of Yahya Khan. There were ineffectual orders from Yahya Khan on the one hand, while the nation, on the other hand, received directives from Bangabandhu’s Road 32 residence. The entire nation carried out Bangabandhu’s instructions. All institutions, including government offices, banks, insurance companies, schools, colleges, mills and factories obeyed Bangabandhu’s directives. The response of the Bengalis to Bangabandhu’s call was unparallel in history. It was Bangabandhu who conducted the administration of an independent Bangladesh from March 7 to March 25.
Another finest hour for Bangabandhu was when he declared independence of Bangladesh and all-out guerrilla war began against the Pakistani oppressive regime. In his declaration he said, “This may be my last message. From today Bangladesh is independent. I call upon the people of Bangladesh, wherever you are and with whatever you have, to resist the army of occupation to the last. Your fight must go on until the last soldier of the Pakistan occupation army is expelled from the soil of Bangladesh and final victory is achieved.”
And the victory achieved on the 16th December 1971 – a dream comes true for Bangabandhu. Thousands of people sacrificed their lives in the name of Bangabandhu. It was his political inspiration and moral persuasion that made mass people to embrace martyrdom in Bangabandhu’s name. The quest for his independence became synonymous with his title “Bangabandhu”. And eventually he embraced martyrdom on the 15th August 1975 for the Bengali Nation.
The multifaceted life any great man cannot be put together in language or colour. Bangabandhu was such a great man that he has become greater than his creation. It is not possible to hold him within the confines of picture-frame when his greatness is so unfathomable. He is our emancipation – for today and tomorrow. The greatest treasure of the Bengali nation is preservation of his heritage and sustenance of his legacy. He has conquered death. His memory is our passage to the days that are to be.
